what’s a token?
A token is one unit of AI work. Reading a report, drafting a reply, or checking a message against your rules each spend a small number. We show usage in tokens so it maps to what the bot does — not opaque dollars.
hard caps by default
Every plan stops at its monthly allowance by default — no surprise bills. The bot stays in your server and the dashboard stays open; only paid AI actions pause until the next cycle. Need to keep going? Opt into overage below.

pay-as-you-go overage
Need to run past your allowance?
On a paid plan you can switch on overage from your billing settings. When you reach your monthly allowance, head-mod keeps working instead of pausing — every token past your plan is billed at the metered overage rate. Usage can run up to 2× your plan’s monthly allowance; beyond that it stops and it’s time to move up a plan. You’re only billed for overage you actually use, and you can turn it off anytime.
